On Sunday, July 21st, 2013, Kirk Launius, former candidate for Dallas County Sheriff, will join The Curtis Report at 5:00pm for the beginning of a new series, Curtis Report Constitutional series.
Mr. Launius will be starting the series off with the First Amendment by first reciting and then discussing the first amendment and what it was initially brought into law to protect. We will then dive into this topic for the entire 1 hour special to discuss how the first amendment has evolved throughout our history and what impact it has on our country today.

“I served my community as a Dallas Police Officer from 2002 until 2006. I lived in South Korea from 2006 until 2008, where I served in the United States Navy. Former member of Dallas Police Department Crime Watch Executive Board. Graduate of Dallas Citizens Police Academy, vice president of class. Honorable Discharge from United States Navy, 10 years of service thru 2011. 2009 Reserve Sailor of the Year – NAS JRB Ft. Worth and NRSE RCC (region). Recipient of multiple Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Expert Marksmanship Medals, and the Korea Defense Service Medal. Kirk served on Dallas County Criminal Grand Jury B-1 from October to December of 2011.
